Roger Groos is passionate about healing using natural means, treating the whole person and working on the innate "life force" of the patient using various effective naturopathic techniques.

Where did it all start? Roger has a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Botany and Zoology, and has always been interested in nature and the environment. Although British through and through, his ancestors hailed from Germany, and it was not until recently an inherited family history was translated that he realised healing was in his blood! A long line of medical doctors and homoeopaths preceded him, and he found he was related by marriage to Fr. Sebastian Kniepp, the founder of modern hydrotherapy.


Roger trained in Holistic & Clinical Medicine in 1986-88 and has since qualified in Colonic Hydrotherapy (practised in Truro), Bowen technique, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology and Metabolic Typing. He has over 20 years experience working in clinics in Woolacombe, Truro and Minehead and has worked at the North Devon Hospice, Barnstaple, as their nutritional adviser.


Roger is also an activist, and has been a trustee of the Natural Medicines Society, Chairman of ARCH - the Association & Register of Colon Hydrotherapists a number of times and is a director of the General Naturopathic Council where he is involved with the future profession-led regulation of Naturopathy.

He has also lectured widely on nutrition, herbs, healing and digestive problems to student, industry, peer and patient groups, and is senior lecturer at the National College of Colonic Hydrotherapy, Principal of the European School of Colonic Hydrotherapy where he teaches postgraduate courses to practitioners and a guest lecturer at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, London.

Currently, Roger holds clinics in Woolacombe for Naturopathy and Reflexology (easily accessible from Barnstaple, Bideford, Ilfracombe, South Molton and all of North Devon) and for Colonic Hydrotherapy and Nutritional Therapy in Truro, Cornwall, serving Penzance, Camborne, Redruth, Falmouth, Newquay, St. Austell, Liskeard up to Plymouth, and near Bridgwater in Somerset, serving Taunton, Wellington, and local area.. He also teaches from his dedicated premises near Bridgwater in Somerset.
